Flights leaving from the UK arrive at The Gambia's Banjul Airport. Flights run more regularly during the dry season, which runs from November to April. Once you arrive in The Gambia getting around is relatively easy with the taxis being the best way to travel. The Bakotu Hotel has a taxi rank and here you can arrange for taxis to take you on short trips or you can arrange for them to take you out for the day and further afield, your driver may also act as a guide. Taxis in town operate similar to local bus services in that they travel on fixed routes and they also pick up other people along the way.
