Q. Where Do You Fly From?

A. We currently fly from Gatwick, Stanstead, Birmingham, Bristol and Manchester

Q.What days do you fly on?

A. Gatwick flights go on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays & Fridays.. Birmingham on Tuesdays, Stanstead on Tuesdays, Bristol on Fridays and Manchester on Wednesdays and Saturdays

Q.Are prices based on one sharing or two sharing?

A. No, always two sharing

Q.What is the flight time?

A. Our Gatwick flights take under 6 hours and only a little more from the others

Q.Which airlines do you use?

A. None of the lowcost airlines have discovered Gambia yet (thankfully) so all of our ourcrafts are charted, so you will be flying with either Thomas Cook, Monarch, Viking or Thomsons

Q.Are airline Meals included in the price?

A. not as standard. Most airlines will now charge £15 per person return if you request an airline meal. You will be asked at the stage of booking if you would like this service added and the relevant price your airline will charge. Alternatively you can purchase food at your airport and take it onboard the aircraft which can save money.

Q.Is baggage included and what is the allowance?

A. Yes we include hold and hand baggage in all our holiday deals as standard. Hold baggage (ie your suitcase) allowance is usually 15KGS per person although from time to time this has been known to change to 20KGS. You will be told at the stage of booking what your baggage allowance is and the cost if you would like to upgrade it. Hand luggage is always 5 KGS per person regardless of airline.

Q.Are you ABTA and ATOL protected?

A. We are fully ABTA bonded and our ABTA number is K2931 and all of our holidays are 'package holidays' and are fully protected by ATOL. In the event or your airline, hotel or tour operator going into liquidation please be assured your money is safe and secure. We are also a member of the HAYS TRAVEL GROUP

Q.Do I need a visa for Gambia?

A. if you are a British passport holder no visa is required. Nationals of any other Country should contact the Gambian Embassy to seek visa advise before travelling as we will not be held responsible if you are not permitted to fly.

Q.Do I need any injections before I travel?

A. If you are travelling from within the EU then nothing at all is compulsory, however we would never recommend travelling without taking a few precautions. It goes without saying everybody in the UK regardless of where they holiday should have a tetanus jab, if you don't or havn't had a booster for more than 10 years it would be recommended you visit your GP. We also recommend you take malaria tablets, these can be purchased from your local pharmacy. IF YOU HAVE ANY HEALTH OR MEDICAL QUESTION PLEASE CONSULT YOUR GP, NURSE OR PHARMACIST FOR THE BEST AND MOST UP TO DATE INFORMATION.

Q.Can I pay a deposit to book my holiday?

A. Yes you can if its outside 12 weeks of departure. You will be advised at the time of booking if a deposit is available and if so how much it is. All balances must be paid 12 weeks before departure

Q.Are transfers included in my package holiday?

A. Transfers are an optional extra. We can easily arrange these for you at a cost of £20 per person return or alternatively you can jump in a taxi at the airport. There are lots of Green taxis waiting as you arrive at Banjul Airport and should cost no more than £20 one way to all of our hotels we feature. Please confirm the price with the driver before set off.

Q.Will I have 'rep service' whilst abroad?

A. Yes all of holidays come with full rep service and you will be met at the airport by your designated rep from your selected tour operator. They will on hand throughout the duration of your holiday and can usually be found around your hotels most days. In the event of you needing to see your rep and cannot locate him/her please speak to your hotel reception who can contact them on your behalf.

Q.What's the currency is The Gambia?

A. The currency in the Gambia is the Dalasi, and you get approx 40 Dalasi to £1. you can exchange Stirling and Euros in resort into Dalasi's. All major credit cards are accepted in all our hotels and many restaurants, however debit cards such as Switch and Maestro are less commonly available to use.

Q.Once ive booked when will I receive my flight tickets?

A. We dispatch flight tickets approx 10 days before departure if not a little sooner. We will also send out luggage labels and a travel wallet to keep it all together.

Q.Do you charge for booking on a credit card?

A. yes as advertised we do charge 2% for all credit card transactions, however we don't charge for transactions on debit cards.

Q.How much validity do I need on my passport?

A. You must hold a 10 year British passport and it must have at least 3 months validity on he return date of travel. If you have less than 3 months you stand a very high chance of been refused to fly.

Q.What time will my room be ready on arrival?

A. As all our flights are AM departures your room will always be ready for you when you get to your designated hotel. In the highly unlikely chance that this is not the case we are sure the hotel management team will do everything they can to make your delay as short and as comfortable as possible?

Q.What time will I have to vacate my room?

A. As a rule of thumb all hotel rooms are to be vacated at 12 noon, please speak to your hotel reception to make sure this is the case as times can alter from hotel to hotel. All of our featured hotels do offer a courtesy room service where you can freshen up if you on a late flight that evening. They will also be able to provide you with a luggage storage room to leave your cases letting you enjoy the last rays of sunshine before you retuen back to the UK.

Q.Who do I speak to if I have a problem whilst abroad?

A. If you have a problem with your accommodation your first port of call is always hotel reception, if the reception team cant 'fix' the problem always ask to speak to the manager. Your holiday rep will also be at hand throughout the duration of your holiday and a great help or any little queries that the hotel cannot answer personally

Q.If I have a complaint when I come home who do I contact?

Q.What sort of weather can I expect in the Gambia?

A. We sell holidays all your round to the Gambia but our key months are the months with zero or near zero rainfall, namely October through until April. Outside of these months the weather is still fantastic with daily highs of over 30 degrees and when it rains you can expect short but heavy bursts and these mainly occur during the evening as the temperatures drop a degree or 2!

Q.What language is spoken in The Gambia?

A. English is the main language spoken in the Gambia, however you will find a lot of local dialects been spoken including Fulani , Mandinka, and Wolof
