Going All Inclusive in The Gambia

Gambia has really caught up with the more popular option of All Inclusive Holidays. This is not something that the hoteliers where keen to get into, but seems clients demands have taken over and hotels off all standards are offering this service.

An good all inclusive hotel should include at least 3 meals per day, breakfast, lunch and dinner and many will provide snacks in-between meals too. There should be a good choice of food to choose from too, a wide variety, catering for all ages including children. Then most good all inclusive packages will includes drinks, including local alcoholic spirits, beer and wine and off course, tea, coffee, water and soft drinks for a minimum of 12 hours a day. Many hoteliers will include an entertainment package on an all inclusive holiday too in with the price.

Obviously, all inclusive packages would not include any excursions but you should be able to book those at a reasonable price either through the hotel, your travel representative or direct at the location.

The following hotels offer a variety of All Inclusive packages, all offer different options, so a little bit of research is worth it to make sure you are getting the perfect option for your holiday.

5* Hotel – The Karaiba in Kololi, a long established hotel, with a wonderful ambience, fabulous staff and excellent restaurants in house.

4* Hotel – The Sheraton Gambia in Brufut, a luxurious beach front hotel with a spa and extensive activities on offer.

4* Hotel – Ocean Bay in Cape Point, a beautiful hotel in beautiful surroundings and a perfect beach front location.

4* Hotel – Laico Atlantic Beach Banjul, a great location, perfect for families and those wanting a more lively hotel and a breathtaking beach too.

2* Hotel – Palma Rima in South Kotu, a lively, family orientated hotel with plenty daytime and night-time activities.

Alternatively, there are a a couple of hotels which offer a dine around package which offer the flexibility of eating in the hotel and sampling some of the resorts and some even offer an add on drinks option which usually means drinks with meals etc. The two hotels that we’d recommend for this would be The Karaiba or The Kombo Beach.
