The Osprey Beach Club

The Osprey Beach Club is situated on the beautiful and tranquil Sanyang beach in Gambia. This is still one of the most beautiful, yet unspoilt beaches that Gambia has to offer. The Scottish Fish Eagles, commonly know as the Ospreys, still migrate to the quiet and sheltered beach every year, giving this restaurant the inspiration for its name. Sanyang is a quaint fishing village in the South of the capital Banjul, Gambia. It is a little known tourist destination, but is only one hour's drive from the capital Banjul. The beach itself is truly stunning, white sand that goes on for miles with a few bars and restaurants offering a very laid back setting for relaxing and simply enjoying your Gambian trip. It offers the fantastic and truly inspirational experience of watching the Gambian sunset from one of its many newly constructed beach huts, or you could merely laze around and soak up the ambiance on one of the 'hassle free' sun beds under the coco palm trees. Shopping is another option, there is a fixed price Gambian gift centre for you to browse if you would like a change from the beach.

This traditional technique of catching fresh fish has remained unchanged for centuries..
